The brief

Angadi

Angadi gave me their illustration of a sari woven through the generations, marking 600 years of the family's weaving. My job was to turn it into a freestanding wall.

I planned a curved wall — straight for ten feet, then an eight-foot arc — with the Advaya wordmark and brand timeline on the front, and the illustration set tone-on-tone behind it in terracotta.

Plan and elevations
Drawing sheet of the curved wall: rear elevation, front elevation with the Advaya wordmark, 7′-0″ high and 18′-2″ long, and a top plan showing a 10′-0″ straight run into an 8′-0″ curve.

Final artwork

The brief

PinQ

PinQ wanted a giant snakes and ladders board for the Bengaluru Wedding Fraternity Meet Up, rooted in India, where the game began.

The brief asked for an 8 × 8 ft board with a 1 ft border, ladders finished with jewels, and snakes drawn from Indian textile crafts like beadwork, bandhani and embroidery. Its strongest idea was the numbers: each square from 1 to 100 is written in a different Indian language.

I designed the board around that idea — numeral in its own script, the number's name below, a reference number in the corner, a Jaipuri floral border and lotus corner blocks framing the grid — and oversaw the snakes, knitted by other vendors.
