Antara

The brief
Context
Antara makes handcrafted hanging lights in rice paper, raw silk, crushed fabric and rattan cane. The name is Sanskrit for 'within'.
Challenge
The range had been sold under a generic catalogue look. Antara needed a premium, warm identity that worked from a favicon to a storefront sign and expressed what makes the lights special: they glow through their material.
Solution
I built the identity around one idea: light from within. The serif wordmark opens each A and holds a semicircle of light inside it; on screen, the semicircles switch on and glow.
The name led the system: a warm palette led by Ember, outline illustrations of twelve light forms and lit, at-dusk photography, carried across cards, swing tags, boxes, signage, social and the website.

Our story
The light inside the material.
Every Antara lamp is built around the glow it holds — the fixture steps back so the light inside can lead.
